Did you all know that the Star Spangled Banner was written in Baltimore? And that at one time in its history Baltimore was known as the spice capital of the country? Famed merchant McCormick opened its first factory in Baltimore in 1889. Today Baltimore has become a multi-faceted city with abundant historical attractions, a vibrant museum scene, great neighborhoods and exceptional seafood inspired restaurants. Known best for its crabs (most available in the months of May to September), Baltimore also now boasts a wide range of world culinary delights. This short list was compiled based on what our friends in Baltimore have suggested; they are also generally reasonably priced restaurants and all these restaurants are within a mile to six miles from where our gathering takes place.The carnivores, omnivores and vegetarians among us should find options on this list.
